Materials of Kimono
Generally, kimonos are made from silk. It
is because silk has good capacity of making clothes breathe well. And kimonos
made from silk have a power of controlling moisture so we can stay comfortable
both in a hot day and in a cold day. But silk kimonos are difficult to
maintain. If you make some mistakes when you care kimonos, it will become
useless even if it was only a little mistake.
There are some kimonos made from cotton. Cotton
kimono’s feature is price and simplicity of caring. We can wash them with
washing machine. And they breathe very well.
And the last is polyester kimono. Their
biggest advantage is that we can clean them by laundry very easily. In days
gone by, they are said cheap-looking, uncomfortable from static electricity,
but now technique improved and polyester kimono got popularity.
